Angels among us

I know that a lot of moms have a hard time going grocery shopping with kids, but I am really lucky and my kids like it. They love driving the car shopping carts all around the store. They also enjoy spotting things for me to buy. Apparently, Beckett does not like to go back in after we have already left and started to get in the car. Yesterday, I had to go back in and return some things I had bought and Beckett was not happy about it. He threw the biggest fit I have ever seen from him. He would not sit down. He would stay as ridged as possible so that I could not get him to sit down. He was screaming and crying and I was just so embarrassed. I kept wondering why the baggers at the checkouts wouldn't bring me some of the smartees they have hiding in a drawer. I knew everyone was staring, wondering what was my sons problem and why couldn't I get him under control. I was trying, believe me.
When my transaction was finished, one of the baggers finally came over and gave me smartees. It didn't work. Beckett still wouldn't sit down so we could actually leave the store, which is what he wanted. I was about ready to sit down on the ground and just start bawling. Then a sweet angel (a woman in her mid 60s) walked up and asked if I needed some help. I said "Yes, I do." and she started to talk to Beckett. No sooner had she start talking to him, then he immediately calmed down and just sat there so I could actually push the cart out of the store. She walked with me to my car and then wished me a Merry Christmas and went on her way. It meant so much to me that this stranger was so willing to see my need and then act. I really did need help and she answered my prayers. I don't know her name but I know that she was an angel to me.
There were three other people that offered to help me that day as well. I feel so blessed that Heavenly Father sent so many angels my way yesterday. I really needed them.

I know how you feel! I had that happen before, I think we all have. And that doesn't make it any less embarrassing or hard, but maybe a comfort. I believe that is why your angel helped you, she cared and knew how it felt. Its nice to hear happy stories among all the crap in the world. Merry Christmas!!!
