Another blog I have started following

So a friend of mine has decided to start a finance blog. It is a really good read. She is hitting eliminating debt right now. Matt and I are working at getting rid of our debt and it is nice to be reminded of how it important it is and that we can do it. Just to give her a little "street cred", she worked for America First Credit Union as a teller for several years and so has seen a lot of financial situations. Also, she is completely debt free and is on her way to having more than 20% down for a house, and she is under 30. She may not be a financial advisor, but she has walked the walk, and can now talk the talk. She also has some great links to help you get your finances in order. So, go check it out.

Reader be warned, you might cry

Last weekend, I got together with some friends from my college days. We ate at PF Changs and it was so delicious. It did live up to it's reputation, especially the lettuce wraps. (In case any of you have been to the Mandarin in Bountiful, their lettuce wraps are just as good so make sure get order them at either one. To die for!) After dinner, Andrea and I went over to Temple Square to see a friend of hers in a concert. We had some time to kill before it started so we went to the South Visitor's Center. They have a miniature replica of the Salt Lake Temple in there. Did you know there is an assembly hall on the top floor? I had no idea? So cool. We also went to the Church Museum. Upstairs they had some of the most beautiful paintings. I couldn't help myself and took some pictures of them. That might be illegal, but they were just too beautiful to not bring home with me. Here they are:

Make sure you click on each one so you can see them in a bigger view, especially this next one.

This is the one that made me cry. I looked at and saw Christ holding that little child and I just about started sobbing. And the angels with the children. Just beautiful and touching. I really want this painting for my home for my children to see each day. I hope you enjoyed these and that hopefully you will go see them in person. There were lots of other beautiful paintings as well and some really cool quilts that made me want to go home and make myself an awesome quilt.
