Here is something I want to remember: Beckett can button and unbutton his own shirt now. Buttoning is a little more difficult, and usually he needs help, but he can do it. Last night he did one button all by himself. I almost started to cry. There were times that I thought he would never learn (he is the type of kid that if he has no interest, there is no way you are going to get him to do it), but I am so happy that he can do it now. The trick now, will be to get him interested in getting dressed all by himself. Both my kids would stay naked all day if they could, even in this cold weather.
Funny story on how I got him interested in buttons. One Sunday at church, Beckett was starting to get bored and restless. I had on a jumper that had big buttons on the straps. I thought, "Maybe I can distract him with unbuttoning my strap on my jumper?" It totally worked. He was fascinated with pushing the big button through the hole. Unfortunately, he realized there was another big button on the other side and undid that one too. I didn't think anything of it until I noticed some guy watching us. I got really embarrassed and the game soon ended and found something else for Beckett to do. Not to self, don't let children undress you at church.

I'll have to remember that one..."Don't let your children undress you at church." Classic.
